There is a wealth of information about Great Danes available on the internet – some good and some not so good. Please do your homework and learn as much as possible about the breed before deciding to adopt from a rescue or purchase from a breeder. Be careful of any information and use common sense in deciding whether it is credible or not. Also, be very careful in selecting a breeder if you decide to purchase a puppy from a breeder. There are good, reputable breeders and there are even more disreputable ones who are only after your money and will disappear as soon as you take possession of your puppy.
The same is true of rescues. If you have any doubts, walk away until you can assure yourself that the breeder or rescue is honest, reputable and ethical! Ask others and talk to people who have adopted/bought from them.
The links I have gathered here are known to me to be credible and to offer good, solid information that you can depend on. They will get you started on a long journey of learning about the breed. Each one of these sites has many more links that will lead you on and on and on in the world of Great Danes. I will add links from time to time as I find new ones.
